The prep-layers journey — approved frames + the hero motion call

One heritage Queenslander, one wall, one job. Keyframes below are the approved set in scroll order. The hero motion has two takes; batch clips (all Seedance 2.0 Mini) wait on the hero call.

HERO GATE · the-raking-light · take 1 · Seedance 2.0 FULL · 6s

Take 1: the exploded-stack rise, as briefed. It did not steer.

Take 1 contact sheet, 12 frames

Honest read: instead of a crane rise through five separating coats, Seedance multiplied the boards into a louvre stack that fills the frame and ends on a chipboard-textured slab. Hypnotic as a scrub, but the camera never rises and the raking-light wall proof is gone by the end.

HERO GATE · the-raking-light · take 2 · fallback glide · Seedance 2.0 Mini · 6s

Take 2: the designed fallback. The rake holds the whole move.

Take 2 contact sheet, 8 frames

Lateral dolly along the finished wall; shadow lines stay crisp edge to edge and the floating slats drift out of frame, leaving the pure raking-light proof. With this take, the coat stack becomes a static labelled poster section (per the brief's fallback).

Recommendation: ship take 2 as the hero scrub. It is the painter's pass/fail test in motion, and it is already generated.
Scene 1
Scene 1 · the-failing-coat · hero-intro · APPROVED

Paint fails from underneath.

Slow push-in from the corner to the flaking macro at the navy sill. Clip pending batch approval.

Scene 2
Scene 2 · the-strip · process-1 · APPROVED · lead-safe

60 to 80% of the job is prep you never see.

Slow 30-degree orbit along the stripped boards. Containment sheeting taped, extraction hose in frame, zero airborne dust — the lead-safe depiction is mandatory on this scene and brand-native to Brushline.

Scene 3
Scene 3 · the-repairs · process-2 · APPROVED

Nail holes, cracks, surface roughness. Finish quality lives here.

Macro glide along the sill line: filled crack, caulk bead, spot-primer islands.

Scene 4
Scene 4 · the-system · process-3 · APPROVED (take 2)

Primer, undercoat, two topcoats. A system, not a colour.

Follow the cut-in line at the trim, then the roller laying off. Unbranded tins. Wrist sliver accepted at the Stage 3 gate (unidentifiable; CL-1119 clean).

Scene 5
Scene 5 · the-raking-light · hero-proof · APPROVED (still)

The difference between covered and finished.

The approved keyframe behind both hero takes above. If take 2 ships, this also seeds the static labelled coat-stack poster.

Scene 6
Scene 6 · the-reveal · reveal-cta · APPROVED (take 3)

A 7-year workmanship warranty. All in writing.

Pull-back from the sill to the golden-hour facade; blank document on the veranda table. CTA lands here: Get a quote → /quote, secondary → /our-work.
